Rotary Scholarships

The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International provides scholarships through two different programs.  The Global Grant Scholarship is a grant for graduate students who study abroad in one of seven areas.  Those areas are promoting peace; fighting disease; providing clean water,sanitation, and hygiene; saving mothers and children; supporting education; growing local economies; and protecting the environment.  These scholarships last from one to four years.  The other program is the Rotary Peace Fellowship Program which offers scholarships for college graduates and professionals to study peace and conflict resolution.    Approximately 350,000 scholarship have been awarded by the Rotary Foundation with a total amount awarded on average annually of $7.5 million.  You can find out more on the Rotary International website or on the website of Rotary District 5100.

The Rotary Club of Greater Clark County provides General Studies Scholarships for $2000 each and one Music Studies Scholarship for $2000.   Applicants must be a graduate of Evergreen, Henrietta Lacks, Heritage, Mountain View or Union High School and complete both the application form and a 1,000 word essay discussing life goals (educational, career, and service) as they relate to the Rotary motto Service Above Self.

General Studies Scholarship

The 2024 General Studies scholarship, offered by The Rotary Club of Greater Clark County, offers $2,000 scholarships to two high school seniors, to be put towards tuition and fees at a post-secondary institution or an accredited vocational program. Applicants must be a 2024 graduate of Evergreen, Henrietta Lacks, Heritage, Mountain View or Union High School, or receive a 2024 certificate of completion from Cascadia Tech, and complete both the application form and a 1,000 word essay discussing life goals (educational, career, and service) as they relate to the Rotary motto Service Above Self . Applicants should reflect on past accomplishments, future attainments, and how their career goals will impact the world today and in the future.

 

Music Scholarship

The 2024 Bob Kaleta/Randy Salisbury Music Scholarship, offered by the Rotary Club of Greater Clark County. This scholarship offers a total of $2,000 to one high school senior, to be put towards tuition and fees at a post-secondary institution. Applicants must be a 2024 graduate of Evergreen, Henrietta Lacks, Heritage, Mountain View or Union High School, or receive a certificate of completion from Cascadia Tech and pursuing a degree in music studies.  Applicant must complete both the application form and a 1,000 word essay discussing life goals (educational, career, and service) as they relate to the Rotary motto Service Above Self. Applicants should reflect on past accomplishments, future attainments, and how work in the field of music will impact the world today and in the future.
